We are so proud
of Firefly, our senior Miniature Nubian(50/50%) doe, who won Grand
Champion Sr. Mini Nubian Doe in the MDGA 2010 Fall V-show. She also won 1st
place in both MDGA's Fall 2009 & Spring 2010 V-show!!! Firefly is a
beautiful 4th gen. Mini Nubian doe we purchased from Dannette Hackman,
Echo Hill's Farm. She has been an asset to our breeding program, by adding milk and show lines to our herd. Thank you
Dannette!!
Daystar's Lady Miriam This is our 2nd
gen. Miniature Nubian(62.5/37.5%) doeling Miriam. We are very happy with
how she is growing up. Here are some her show wins; Jr. Grand Champion Mini Nubian doeling in MDGA's
Summer 2009 V-show. In the Fall 2009 V-show Miriam won Jr. Best of Show & Grand Champion Jr. Mini Nubian Doe, Fall 2010 Reserve Champion Sr. Doe. "For greater strength of bone to go with her dairy character, the tremendous squareness to the set of both her hind legs and fore legs the junior champion will be the junior yearling. The Junior Kid is strong is proper dairy shape with more depth to the rear. She is very wide between the hocks." as quoted from Chris Strickland, dairy goat judge. See her doeling
on the "Junior Does" page; Daystar's
Lady Suzanna. Miriam's Dam just
had 5 kids!! 4 girls and a boy. All are strong and healthy.
Daystar's Phoebe Phoebe is our second 5th gen. Miniature Nubian
(50/50%) doe. We are excited with her first kidding. She had
two beautiful 6th gen. kids, a buckling and a doeling. I am sure they will take after their dam in the
beauty department.
Daystar's Valentine
Valentine is from Frosty Marvin lines on her dam's side, her sire is Echo Hill's king Othello. She is a very strong milker, going over two years between freshening and giving a good amount of milk through it. And it was only her first freshening. She had 5 living kids in 2011, 4 of which were doelings and very nice!!! She is also the dam of our champion doe Daystar's Lady Miriam.
